Hurricane Katrina Relief

September 2005

During these past weeks, I, along with millions of others, have watched the reports unfold regarding Hurricane Katrina. My heart felt a deep compassion for the people affected by this tragedy. With crusades coming up in El Salvador, India, and Africa during the next few months, and knowing that we haven't even started raising the finances for them yet, it would have been easy to let the rest of the world take care of those in need. A part of me was hoping God would let KLM International off the hook so we could put our efforts into raising the capitol necessary for these international events. However, the more news we seen and heard, the more compelled we felt to do what we could for our own nation.

Such great devastation requires more from the Body of Christ than prayer. To be honest, if we don't put some feet to our faith and action to our petitions then who will? Listen, this is a wonderful opportunity to reach into the gulf coast region with more than just food and clothes. It's an opportunity to touch people's lives with the anointing and to minister the powerful message of Jesus' resurrection.

Well, that's exactly what we're doing! I believe that God will honor the pause in our international efforts to take care of those here at home. I believe everything we need to catch up with our obligation from Liberia and raise the capitol for El Salvador will come in as we pour both our heart, and our finances, into the gulf coast.

We have stationed semi-trailers around our metro area, accepting donations from the general public and working with manufacturers and shipping companies. We are working with local churches in the affected areas that are currently ministering to those in need. One such church is hosting over 200 evacuees in their sanctuary. So many of these people have no place to go and nothing to return to. They may be there awhile.

Not only are we accepting gifts in kind such as large quantities of food and clothing, but we are also gathering cleaning supplies and cash to assist the churches that are doing the work. With over a million people displaced and losing everything, we have a desire to take thousands of bibles to them as well. We know your hearts are in this too. With so many great organizations helping, it's hard to choose whom to give to. Just follow your heart. Together We Are Making A Difference!

October 2005

Due to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina there was a need in our nation and we were able to be a tremendous help to so many. We sent thousands of dollars and 5 semi-trailers full of food, clothing, hygienic products, cleaning supplies, diapers, and more to Louisiana and Mississippi.

Together, we were able to help others who are without guidance and lacking provisions. We greatly appreciate you stepping up with us to meet these extra needs! Because of your generosity, we were able to help thousands of people with their spiritual and physical needs during this time of crisis. A huge thank you goes out to you!
