March 2004 - Chirala, India Crusade ReportDear Friends and Partners,"Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]." Our crusade in the coastal city of Chirala, India was a huge success. The crusade and Pastors' conference were landmark events for that region. The area surrounding Chirala will never be the same. The miracles were outstanding. The number of pastors and leaders trained exceeded our expectations. The masses of Hindus and Buddhists that heard the Word of God and witnessed His awesome power surpassed our imagination. Over 150,000 people came out during the three nights to hear the Word of God. So many gave their hearts to the Lord we can only estimate the total number of salvations (over 100,000). God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think! We hope you enjoy the photo page of that event.  We went into the region of Chirala knowing full well that God was going to have to show up in power and demonstration to affect the people there. With 80 percent of the population practicing Hinduism and 15 percent being either Muslim or Buddhist, that left an estimated Christian population of less than 5 percent. We wanted to impact the region for Jesus and we did just that. The last night of the crusade the entire grounds were flooded with people. The people spilled out into the surrounding properties and flowed into all the adjacent streets. When the local police arrived we thought we might be cited for causing a major disturbance due to traffic being blocked in all directions. Instead of breaking up the crowds, the police began to help direct people into the grounds! They ended up being a major help. We had rented over 100 buses and tractors to bring in the people from the surrounding villages, and without their help, those people would never have been able to get close enough to hear the message.
What we were able to accomplish in Chirala we are hoping to reproduce in Mali, Africa next month. We will be holding a major crusade in a city north of the capital. This particular city is estimated to be 98 percent Muslim and boasts of having nearly 1 million people. What a wonderful opportunity for God's message of salvation to shake a nation. We are expecting thousands to receive Jesus. As always, we will work closely with the local Pastors, investing hours of training and ministering to their needs. They will then be better equipped to handle the follow-up. Please be in prayer about this April Crusade. We still have a sizable amount of financing needed to fulfill the budget and anything you designate to the Mali crusade will go directly to that event. On the personal side, Neja and I have great news to share with you. We are expecting a new addition to our family! Kaleb Lee Linhart should make his entrance into this world the first week of August. We're very excited about his arrival! With crusades scheduled fairly close to that time we are believing God for his arrival to be timely.
