August 2004
Dear Friends and Partners,
He is finally here! The newest addition to our family arrived Wednesday, August 4th at 7:33 A.M. He weighed a whopping 8 pounds and 11 ounces. Mom and baby are doing fine and are at home. Vinnie has been a big help and Krystal is adjusting wonderfully to her new little brother. It seems as if we are going to have to start believing God for a bigger house and something I said I would never drive, a van. I guess there is more than one reason we should watch what comes out of our mouth.
 | | Mom, Vinnie, Krystal and Kaleb | It seems as if we are experiencing growth in every area of our personal life as well as ministry. We've got so much coming up and several first time events that I will try to fill you in on throughout this letter.
Our crusade team in Zimbabwe is hard at work procuring all of the hard-to-get permits and licenses necessary for an open-air event to be held in October. Because of the political climate, there has been a major crack down on any event with a large number of people. However, God has given us great favor and thousands of lives will be changed as a result of the Leadership Conference and the crusade.
The October crusade in the DR Congo will be held in one of the most volatile areas we've ever gone in to. This particular city was ravaged by the recent war and needs to experience a touch from heaven. Recent rebel uprisings have threatened the scheduled event but successful negotiations have re-opened the doors there. The city selected for the crusade is nearly impossible to reach by car or truck. We'll have to fly everything in. It is a key city for the rebel forces because it is positioned on the river, making it a strategic location to gather and regroup
November brings us two first-time events and we are very excited about them both! First, right here in Des Moines, Iowa we will be assisting and organizing a Miracle Life Conference and Miracle Service with Dr. TL Osborn. This is the first event Dr. Osborn has ever held in the mid-west and we count it an honor and a privilege to assist Christian Adventures and Dr. TL in this endeavor. You can get more information about this event through our web site or by picking up the September issue of Charisma. Also, in November/December we will be hosting our first ever Short Term Missions team trip to India. This will be in conjunction with a Mass Miracle Crusade to be held in the city of Nellore. You can get more information through the Missions opportunity button below.
Other events we have scheduled will be in the nations of Costa Rica, Cuba, and Liberia. We will be heading back to India several times in 2005, as God has impressed us to do so. One area we are actively pressing into is seeding the nations with follow up material. After each event we desire to leave behind books, Bibles, and tapes in the native languages to assist our new brothers and sisters in the Lord with the fresh beginning of life in Christ. We also desire to leave behind more tools for the indigenous gospel worker. The pastors, teachers, and leaders need these tools to aid and encourage them in their callings. We believe that very soon we will be able to leave behind tons of material after each event.
Now more than ever, we desire your prayers and partnership. It's as if God has asked us to step up to a bigger plate, and we are willingly doing that knowing that He will supply for all of these crusades, conferences, and ministry times. If you're not already partnering with us, whether it be through prayer or financial committment, we ask that you prayerfully consider doing so. Neja and I, and our staff, thank you for everything you do to help us fulfill the call that has been placed on our hearts. You are crucial to God's plan!
Remember, together we can!
Your missionary evangelist,
Kenney & Neja Linhart |
