Dear Friends and Partners,

We are back from Pakistan safe and in one piece. The crusades and outreaches were difficult, challenging and at times dangerous. Pakistan is full of wonderful people and 98% of them are Muslim. Many people were stirred up and some even violent toward anybody that looked like they were from Europe or America. This was due to the recent uproar over the political cartoon of Mohamed.

While the nation of Pakistan has been very open to helping the West in our efforts to combat terrorism, it is important to remember that it is still a Muslim nation. Not only are the people Muslim by birth and choice the nation is governed by Islamic law. Islamic Law is cruel and ruthless, calling for the deaths of women and children that defile their families through inappropriate actions. These death sentences are carried out by the men in each family and are not a thing of the past. While there daily accounts of such "honor killings filled the papers.

One such infraction that requires the death sentence is for a Muslim to convert to Christianity. With the threat of torture, rape and death looming you might begin to understand the pressure we face along with those who dared to be part of our public outreaches and crusades. I was so impressed with the valor of the thousands of Muslims that made public confessions of their newfound faith. Their boldness in the face of death stimulates my spirit and strengthens my resolve.

On the second night of our crusade, we witnessed God's hand move mightily through awesome miracles as He confirmed the resurrection of His son. Thousands left their dead religion and made Jesus the Lord of their life. This tremendous outpouring of faith did not go unnoticed by the extremist and fundamentalist. In the cover of darkness, they infiltrated our security and burnt everything on the crusade grounds. In the morning all that remained of the platform, banners, lights and sound system was a pile of ashes.

Because of the threats of further violence and even threats of suicides bombers, we were forced to preach the gospel in other places. For three days and nights our team would go before us to smaller villages. There they would set up a platform and sound system in what we deemed Quick strike crusades. Each night we would leave our hotel under the cover of darkenss to a new area. There hundreds would hear the message and would make the life changing decisions to sever a living savior named Jesus. We'll fill you in on all the detail in the next issue of the Miracle Report.

We still have $4,500 left to raise for this history making event we just returned from. We have borrowed the funds from our local bank and need to repay this amount soon. If you desire to help us finish what was started you may designate a gift by writing Pakistan in the memo section of your check.

Your missionary evangelists,

Kenney & Neja Linhart
