March 2007Dear Friends and Partners,Reaching the lost here at home and in the nations of the world is not just our calling here at KLM International, it’s yours as well. Did you know that no matter what your talents and abilities are, you are still called to reach the lost? Do you realize that if you are serving your local church by leading praise and worship, teaching Sunday School, or even cleaning the building, you’re still called to reach the lost? You may fulfill a ministry position in the church such as an administrator or even a church counselor, but that still does not release you from the ministry to which each of us has been called by the Lord Jesus Christ - the ministry of reconciliation. Every one of us is called to this ministry. Our individual and corporate duty is to reconcile the lost in the world to the Father through Jesus Christ. We reach the lost through our witness, sharing our testimony, and supporting those who are carrying the gospel to the nations of the world. We can become a part of their ministry through our prayers and financial support. You can find the latter in the fourth chapter of the book of Philippians. Your financial gifts and your prayers are reaching thousands in every one of our international events. I thought it would be good for you to see this from the perspective of one of our overseas ministry partners. As you read his comments, keep in mind that he is in a nation where Christianity represents less than 2% of the population and where persecution threatens the very lives of new converts. Brother Kenney, Thank you for your heart for the nations. Thank you for coming to India to break ground with your crusades and leadership conferences. The ministry the Lord has given you is amazing! Public preaching of the Gospel in the market places and city centers are proven biblical strategies in reaching the nations. We see this in the book of Acts as well as in your ministry. Here are some of my observations of how your crusades impacted our area. Our nation is over 80% Hindu and 13% Muslim. Your crusades are a vital part of our total strategy for taking land and souls for the Kingdom. Crusades help break open the heavens in a region, changing the spiritual atmosphere for the ongoing church planting work in an area. Your crusades proclaim Jesus as Savior and Healer to a wide audience, reaching people that may never be reached in any other way. Thousands of people get healed and saved through these massive events. New believers are welcomed to churches. Many become active supporting members. Your crusades strengthen and encourage area pastors and leaders. The events unite them as a team and help generate momentum for their ongoing evangelistic work. This even stimulates work which happens at the village level. Religious Hindus and Muslims are often afraid to enter a church because of the persecution from family or society. There is a strong social stigma of going to Christian church. These people feel safer attending a city-wide crusade, hearing the Gospel, and getting prayer because they feel they can be hidden in a big crowd. This may be the only opportunity that many of them get to hear the Gospel, as they won’t go to church to hear the Gospel or allow an evangelist to come into their homes to share the Gospel. Because of the mass cry of the people with so many needs, there are higher levels of God’s manifest presence and greater faith in action during your crusades. When the gospel is preached in this fashion, it results in greater miracles and healings than we may see in the church setting. The impact from your India crusades and leadership conferences, in conjunction with the following work done by our ministry, produces fruit that remains.
